The young italian guy Francesco Fraioli re-invented the web 2.0, pushing all its powerful potentialities towards a huge creative source for the underground music world.
Thounds (http://thounds.com/home) works more or less like the well-known FaceBook, but you don't share your personal (and very often not too much smart) thought of the moment, but your musical inspiration.
In this way you can work with other thousands of people through the hugeness of the internet!
How? It's very simple.
Once registered, it's possible (as you can see in the video) record and share a short or long track with a single, simple, musical instrument of any type, from synth to clarinet.
Other users could comment your sounds with comments and opinions, but most of all they could help and collaborate with their musical knowledges by adding an instrument or voice to your track!
So, for example, Matt who lives in the middle of Australia plays just didjeridoo and doesn't know a percussionist? He can record his track and wait for further inspiration from Katerine, who lives in south-africa and is a master with bongos.
Music becomes completely partecipative.

Il funzionamento di Thounds (http://thounds.com/home)è molto simile all'aggiornamento dello status su Facebook, tuttavia invece che scrivere frasi più o meno banali gli utenti possono rendere partecipi gli altri membri della community facendo loro ascoltare la loro musica.
In questo modo si forma una grossa community globale di musicisti e appassionati che si aggiorna e auto-migliora continuamente.
Come? E' molto semplice.
Una volta registrati è possibile, come si vede nel video, registrare un pezzo e condividerlo.
Chiunque ascolti quel pezzo, oltre a poter contribuire 'verbalmente' dando consigli e opinioni, può aiutare e collaborare con le proprie conoscenze musicali per aggiungervi voce o strumenti di qualsiasi tipo.
Quindi se, ad esempio, matt in australia sa soltanto suonare il didjeridoo e non conosce nessun percussionista può registrare e postare il suo pezzo e attendere che qualcuno aggiunga la sua 'ispirazione' alla sua parte. Tutto questo in totale libertà!
