A careful listen to the 'sonorous continuum' created by the ardent creativity of Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet could take us in a world of lucid serenity.
In many tracks, such as Love Cry and This Unfolds, Hebden produces an high-involving audio-climax which could softly bring the listener towards a sort of Wellness, or at least towards the part of wellness reachable trough his ears.
Love Cry, for example, starts very slowly with rough and nasty samples, which seem taken from the apocalyptict scenaries of Burial. Nevertheless, after a few minutes, Four Tet's bright elements overcome the darkness and proceed through the noise, leading us to a more peaceful world.
This world is more completely revealed in Circling.
Here the brightness is entirely shown: clear synths walk with very distant basses, lately summed to other various elements, such as 'celestial' tinkles and sweet reverberated vocals, always adding purity to purity.
The acme of deepness and complexity is reached in Reversing, in which a soft hiss prevails over all the rest, and seems to have the power to throw us down to the cold oceanic abyssess.
Finally a pressing rhythm bring us again up to the surface, far from the dream and the deepness.
When the listening ends, it's possible to perceive the big detachment that the music creates from everything chaotic, violent and imperfect.

Ascoltando con trasporto il continuum sonoro partorito dalla fervente creatività di Kieran Hebden, in arte Four Tet, si viene calati in un mondo di lucida serenità.
In molte tracce, come Love Cry e This Unfolds, Hebden ci proietta in climax sonori di intensità coinvolgente, che piano piano, senza strattoni, ci portano verso il benessere, o almeno verso quella frazione di benessere raggiungibile con l'udito.
In Love Cry, ad esempio, si inizia lentamente, con sample piuttosto sporchi e scricchiolanti, che sembrano essere presi in prestito dagli apocalittici scenari di Burial. Con l'incedere del tempo, però, gli elementi luminosi che contraddistinguono Four Tet vengono a galla, quasi come una vittoria del bene sul male, e si fanno strada tra il rumore e la sporcizia, introducendo all'ascoltatore un mondo più sereno.
Mondo che poi continua a manifestarsi in Circling.
Qui la luminosità ha decisamente preso il sopravvento: synth limpidissimi si accompagnano a bassi molto lontani, di cui arriva soltanto un lieve eco. Per addizione arrivano anche altri elementi, come tintinnii celestiali e dolci voci riverberate, che quasi fino alla fine si amplificano, aggiungendo purezza alla purezza, senza stonare o esagerare.
La massima profondità viene raggiunta in Reversing, traccia in cui su tutto prevale un lieve sibilo che sembra volerci condurre nei freddi abissi oceanici. Poi un ritmo incalzante e sempre più vicino ci riporta in superficie, lontano dal sogno e dalla profondità.
A fine ascolto, quando si ritorna alla realtà, si riesce a percepire il grande distacco che la musica crea da tutto ciò che è caotico, violento, terreno ed imperfetto.
